I have a very explicit question, which I would appreciate an answer to. Is it possible for a person who is a non-HK resident and a non-HK citizen, who has registered a HK company, to open a HK corporate bank account for newly formed Hong Kong company, even if the person has never owned a company (anywhere in the world) before, but can provide a CV and a credible business plan for the new Hong Kong company?
If the answer depends on country of domicile / citizenship, kindly let me know if there is a difference in this respect for 1) Sweden, 2) UK and 3) Thailand.
Yes, it is possible that in this case the bank account would be opened. The most preferable in terms of residence/domicile would be UK, but you have to present both the UK passport and the proof that you live in the UK.
But the bank has a right to ask for additional documents. It might ask them.
